A few weeks ago, the U.S. Census Bureau released the news that an average of 347 people move to metro Orlando every day. Chances are, that prior to moving, a good many of these new residents logged onto the Internet to check out the city, neighborhoods and available housing. Those wanting to live in the prestigious Dr. Phillips and Windermere areas would have quickly found one of the most helpful sites online for community information and listings of local real estate properties. The Web site,, belongs to A Premier Class Realty, which specializes in Southwest Orlando real estate. 

Providing an informative Web site is part of A Premier Class Realty’s overall plan to help consumers make educated choices about their homes. The Web site is a good thing for newcomers, and its visibility is also a good thing for Southwest residents who are selling their homes with the company. 

A Premier Class Realty is owned by Southwest resident Robert McIntire, With an established reputation and 40 years of real estate experience, McIntire left a national affiliation to open A Premier Class Realty. He has selectively adding experienced agents who will help to maintain the personality developed as the Home Team. 

“I feel the reputation that I have built here is a strong one, and I would rather have less agents of the highest quality." “I don’t know of any other company that looks specifically at only accepting experienced agents. It’s important to us to maintain that level of quality.” 

“[An experienced agent] can be trusted to make sure that everyone’s interests are protected,” McIntire said. “"In most cases, at the time, [consumers] are dealing with the most major financial decision that either party is going to make. An experienced agent wants to relieve that stress as much as possible.” 

Keeping their clients informed through every step of the buying or selling process is the best way to avoid stressful situations, and it is important to avoid last-minute surprises that force clients into making decisions with little or no information. 

“We make sure they understand the process, and we stay on top of the process, so if a situation comes up, it doesn’t have a chance to fester and burn,” McIntire said. “In most all of our transactions, the buyers and sellers are on the best of terms at the closing table. Realistically, they have the same objective, and if you can keep things good and friendly, it makes the transaction smoother and easier. It’s just better for everybody.” 

“We have found in the Southwest area that our consumers are very educated consumers — maybe not specifically on real estate when they get started — but they are typically savvy to business and hungry for information, our focus is to provide that information as quickly as possible, so that they can feel satisfied that they are making an educated choice. Our concept is to help people make the best decisions for them.” 

Staying on top of their own education is one way A Premier Class Realty’s agents provide clients with smooth transactions. 

McIntire is a real estate broker and hold numerous designations, including Certified Residential Specialist, Graduate of Realtor Institute, Certified Luxury Home Specialist, Relocation Specialist, member of Residential Sales Council, and member of Orlando Regional Realtor Association. “The agents who work with us either have or are getting all the designations possible so that they are educated to the latest ways of handling situations that come up, because situations change as time goes on,” McIntire said. “There is no substitute for experience and training.” 
For example, mold is something that was not considered to be a big problem until recently. Now it is an issue similar to radon in northern homes. Through continuing education programs, the Realtors learned how the problem should be treated and how to stay involved with qualified inspectors to ensure their clients do not encounter legal problems later. Finding homes in the area is the easy part; knowing how to anticipate and avoid problems is where experience and training come into play. 

“One of the ironies of customer service is that when things are going smoothly, people don’t often notice,” Someone said. “When something comes up, it’s our opportunity for them to see that we are here taking care of business. Something handled well is going to earn you three more clients down the road. I always say I’m not looking to sell a home; I’m looking to sell the next three. Whatever I have to do is what I do.” 

Staying on top of the real estate business also means being ahead of the curve with technology. 

The Web site shows several pictures of each listing, and a virtual tour is provided when it can be used as an effective tool to view the home. A virtual tour gives a buyer a perspective of the home by viewing rooms from ceiling to floor as well as side to side and seeing how rooms flow into each other.

In fact, McIntire interprets the word “premier” in the company’s name to mean “the best service level possible.” The word “class” has its roots in a dedication to local schools as an Orange County Public Schools Partner in Education.
